Insert the chamberlock
security system into the shotgun without the keys, set slots at 12 o'clock this will give a reference point for later removal. The chamberlocks are self locking and can easily be pushed into the shotgun cartridge chamber.
N.B. When a journey involves an overnight stay the cable can be
used for security in your accommodation, anchoring the gun
to any fixed object.
The chamberlock
security system has now secured the shotgun and can
only be released using the appropriate key. The gun can be
enclosed in a gun slip if required.
There are two ways in which the security
cable can be used.
- Thread the cable up through the barrel, connect the ball
joint to the chamberlock then insert into the shotgun. (do not use the key). The
gun can now be closed. Insert the cable through the trigger
mechanism and out through the guncase. (if one is used).
Padlock to a suitable secure point.
- Loop the cable to a secure point, thread it through the
trigger mechanism and then up through the barrel and connect
the ball joint to the chamberlock.
Push the chamberlock into the shotgun (do not use the key) the gun can now be
closed and put into the case (if one is used).
To remove insert key, press down on the sprung loaded lock, turn clockwise until chamberlock releases.
NB:
To release the units ensure the chamberlock is seated firmly in the chamber neck prior to inserting the
key.
Warning:
Use of the incorrect chamberlock size could result in damage to the barrel and allow a cartridge
to be inserted into the chamber. If fired, serious injury
to yourself, others or the gun could occur.
Maintenance:
Lightly lubricate the lock mechanism
once a month. |
